Personal

A Colorado native, I grew up just south of Denver in Littleton, Colorado.  At a young age I got involved with a local chapter of the Boy Scouts, eventually earning the Eagle Scout Award.  I attended nearby Columbine High School, where I was a goal tender on the soccer team and a hooker on the rugby team.

After finishing high school, I  enrolled in the University of Richmond.  As a student, I was active in my fraternity - SAE; and I also played the hooker position on the Rugby team.  I studied business management and computer science and graduated in 2001. My first job after college was with Accenture as a high tech consultant in DC.  Virginia is a great place, and will always have a place in my heart, but I missed Colorado and decided to move back.

An internship with Merrill Lynch during college was my first exposure to the ever-changing financial services industry.  It was a good experience, and proved to be instrumental in my quest for professional purpose, but I didn't see myself going back to ML.  I was looking for a more comprehensive, risk-based business model to build my practice around. I settled on the Downtown Denver agency of Northwestern Mutual and I have been with them since 2002.  I love my career and couldn’t picture doing anything else or working for anyone else.

I currently live in Littleton with my wife Stephanie.  We have two daughters, Adeline and Eleanor, they are a joy to our hearts and very fun.  We enjoy exercising, gardening, sailing and entertaining company.  Stephanie and I race our M-16 Racing Scow “The Magic School Bus” competitively.  I enjoy working out with my trainer; and I am active in my church The Next Level.
